The Behavioral Health Unit at Regional West is located on the fifth floor of Regional West Medical Center and features psychiatric inpatient and day programs for adults, adolescents, and children. We serve the residents of western Nebraska, eastern Wyoming, southwestern South Dakota, and northern Colorado. The Unit accepts patients of all ages and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What therapies are provided?

We provide individual, group, and family therapies.

The Behavioral Health Unit at Regional West is also the site of the Homeward Bound Program, the first program in the state of Nebraska that allows board-committed patients access to treatment in their own community instead of at a state facility. The program features intensive treatment sessions and seamless links to community wrap-around services.

Our 12-bed unit features:

  • A central nurses station
  • Swing bed options that allow the facility to maintain segregation of adolescent and adult populations, regardless of admission numbers
  • An indoor recreation room
  • Private meeting rooms
  • Social rooms
  • State-of-the-art safety features

The Behavioral Health Unit accepts patients of all ages and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
