The Behavioral Health Unit at Regional West, located on the fifth floor of Regional West Medical Center features psychiatric inpatient and day programs for adults, adolescents and children.
The highly credentialed and multidisciplinary staff offers individualized treatment for psychiatric disorders and an addiction program for duel diagnosis patients.
The Behavioral Health Unit at Regional West is also the site of the Homeward Bound Program, the first program in the state of Nebraska that allowed board committed patients access to treatment in their own community instead of a state facility. The program features intensive treatment sessions and seamless links to community wrap around services.
The 18-bed facility features a central nurses station and swing bed options that allows the facility to maintain segregation of adolescent and adult populations regardless of admission numbers. The unit also features an indoor recreation room, private meeting rooms and social rooms.
The facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
