Medical Center of the Rockies
Regional West Health Services and Poudre Valley Health Systems of Fort
Collins, Colo. have formed a unique partnership between hospitals in two
different states to build a new hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies.
Regional West owns 12 percent of
the $240 million hospital with Poudre Valley owning the remaining 88 percent.
Medical Center of the Rockies will specialize in cardiac and
trauma care, offering comprehensive cardiovascular services including open-heart surgery. In addition,
it will provide intensive care, surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, obstetrics and more.
The five-story, 136-bed hospital will provide easy access
for patients who need a higher level of medical care than is available at
Regional West. It is located just off the I-25 exit at Loveland,
Colo. near the Loveland Outlet Mall and the new, upscale Centura
Shopping Mall. Medical Center of the Rockies will open February 14, 2007.
