A cancer diagnosis often brings with it very normal feelings of shock, helplessness and fear. We understand. At the Dorwart Cancer Care Center, we focus on our patients' needs through services offering the latest in diagnosis, treatment and support-all in a warm, caring environment. The approximately 7,500 square foot facility represents a team effort of physicians, nurses and other health care professionals dedicated to the needs of cancer patients in the southern panhandle of Nebraska and northeastern Colorado.

Established in memory of longtime Sidney residents Dr. C.B. and Lucille K. Dorwart, the center allows area cancer patients the option of receiving radiation therapy services in Sidney, rather than traveling the sometimes-significant distance to other treatment centers. The center is a service of Regional West Medical Center in cooperation with Sidney's Memorial Health Center. Coordination of our patients' care is a shared responsibility of health care professionals at Regional West Medical Center and Memorial Health Center. 

In addition to radiation therapy, the Dorwart Cancer Care Center also offers access to symptom management, patient education, support groups, dietary counseling, social workers, rehabilitation and enterostoma therapy.
