Regional West Physicians Clinic-Cardiology employs western Nebraska's only full-time board-certified Cardiologists. As active members of the community, Dr. Rasa and Dr. Lee live and work in the panhandle, calling it home.
Our Cardiology care is complemented by a clinic staffed with Cardiologists from the Heart Center of the Rockies, based in Ft. Collins, Colo.

Regional West Physicians Clinic-Cardiology is backed by Regional West's state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Lab, where diagnostic imaging equipment supports minimally invasive angioplasty procedures that open blocked coronary arteries.
Patients needing stents or bypass surgery are quickly transported by Regional West's Air Link medical helicopter to a hospital specializing in cardiovascular surgery. They then return to the panhandle for cardiac rehabilitation and follow-up care.

Dr. Rasa earned his medical degree from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India, and completed residency training and a Cardiology Fellowship at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

Herbert Lee l MD is board certified in Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine/Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine/Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Lee earned a medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa., and completed Internal Medicine residency training at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Lee completed a Cardiology Fellowship at Hospital of the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Dr. Ashmore earned a medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed residency training at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Cardiology fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

Wendy Austin l MD is board certified in Internal Medicine. She earned a medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Austin completed residency training and a Cardiology fellowship at the University of California in San Diego.
